How to write this without sounding like a cliché? Every photographer with a passion for what they do knows photography is a way of life rather than a way to make a living. I am no different. Photography has encompassed my life since I was 7, it is all I have ever wanted to do and I have no doubt that whatever the future holds for me, it is all I will do.

Photography creates history. It is a way of documenting what happened or how someone looked or how beautiful the sky was that day. It is a way for future generations to see how we live now, just as we have done with the photographs of old. The thought that someone 100 years from now may see my photographs and be inspired by them, just as I was by photos from 100 years ago, fills me with joy.

I cherish the fact that photography catches a moment in time so that it is not gone forever, it is there for you to see whenever you wish. This is why I love what I do and this is why it makes me feel alive.
